One Year Later

gravitron3It’s been a while…

A little over a year and alot has changed. I moved to West Lafayette with plans of graduating from Purdue Univeristy. One more semester at community college and then I’m done with that. I found my place on Craig’s List. I was apprehensive about moving in with 3 strangers at first, but it’s working out quite well. The rest of my family moved too. My sister to Colorado, my mother to Arizona.

I’ve fallen out of contact with old friends but have met plenty of new ones. As they say, new friends are golden. While on the topic of friends, I must note Jacob’s 21st and Brady’s return to Indy. Epic. And also after over a year of apprehensive behavior toward the opposite sex, I’ve finally realized how ridiculous it is…(Deleted 01/27/2009) I’m ready to be new again.

More recently, I’ve spoken out against the majority of the Neo-conservative party for pushing a fundamentalist Christian agenda into their political platforms. As a Christian and as an American, I have wisened up to just how dangerous lacing any religious fundamentalism into legislation can be. I am so proud of the American people for also realizing this. I have never been more proud to be an American than the night we elected Barack Obama, a nobody senator from Chicago into the presidency.

On that note, 2008 is on it’s way out and a new year is coming. What will 2009 hold for America? For me? For you?
I’ve never been more excited to find out.

“I’ve finally realized how ridiculous it is to let one black hole of a girl hold me down for so long. I’m ready to be new again.”

You’re finally opening up to cross-gender experimentation?? I’m all in.
